With its founding in the early 1900s, the women’s Altar and Rosary Society is the longest running Ministry at St. Mary Parish. Our mission is to provide funds for altar-related items such as Chalices, linens, banners, vestments for the Priests and Deacons, and provide for the needs of the sacristans and clergy. We celebrate the birthdays and anniversaries of our priests in the Parish Hall. We also decorate the Church for celebrations such as Easter, Christmas, and Advent.
All of this is made possible by the efforts of volunteers just like you. We cordially invite you be a part of this important ministry.

The Society meets on the 1st Wednesday of the month in either the Parish Hall or at a member’s home at 10:30am. We commence with the Rosary, and then follow with our meeting at 11:00am which takes about an hour. Afterwards we have a luncheon, per pandemic restrictions.
In addition to our sanctuary-related mission, we also provide Christian focus outreach tours and pilgrimages for the Parish to attend. We sponsor field trips and outings too, for example, to the Catholic Night at the Padres Game. We give Fall and Lenten Retreats at San Luis Rey Mission. We attend social nights with dinner and a show at the Theatre at Lawrence Welk. After some Sunday Masses we hold fund-raisers, including food sales.
Dues are only $25.00 per year and are waived for 25+ year tenured members.

- To promote, conduct, and coordinate spiritual activities with growth and fellowship among women of our parish and women friends of St Mary Parish.
- To promote and execute special works requested by our pastor.
- To encourage mutual respect & cooperation of all ministries in our Church of St Mary Parish.
- To conduct charitable outreach beyond the parish of St Mary and as Board of Directors is capable & deems appropriate
