Extra-Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

As Extraordinary ministers of Holy Communion at St. Mary Catholic Church, we lay men and women assist the priest by reverently distributing the Body and Blood of Christ to our brothers and sisters in faith. We are dedicated to the Eucharistic celebration, remembering both Christ’s sacrifice of Himself on the cross and His commission of the apostles at the Last Supper. We show the greatest reverence by our demeanor, our attire and the manner in which we handle the consecrated bread and wine. As ministers during the mass, to the home bound, facility residents and hospital patients, we are committed to be of service, so that all may partake at the table of the Lord.

This ministry is open to all registered active Catholics (attending Mass regularly), who are at least 16 years of age. They must be baptized and confirmed and under no canonical penalty. If married, their marriage must have taken place in the Catholic Church or have been blessed in the Catholic Church.

We would love to welcome you to participate in this ministry. Please contact Mary Golder at mggolder@gmail.com for further information.
